Also in the municipality you can visit the Clockmaker's Tower, a monument built of stone in the 18th century, with a height of 22 m. The monument was refurbished at the end of 2005 and is located in the centre of the municipality. Monuments (from) that could revive the city.
The Clock Tower and the Fortress of Mircea the Elder, separated by a distance that can easily be covered on foot, are the major sights that could make a tourist attraction of the port city on the Danube, where the per capita income is one of the lowest in the country. But the road there is long, although some promise is emerging. Giurgiu City Hall wants to include the citadel, with the help of European funds, in the tourist circuit and has big plans for it.

The bridge has two lanes for road traffic, one for each direction, one for rail traffic. The bridge also has a sidewalk for pedestrians. As the Danube has made its way through these places, people have had to make it easier to get from one side to the other. Built in 1954, it has been rehabilitated, and of the 3 kilometres of the iron behemoth, part of it is movable to allow ships to pass. So, if you miss the duca, know that from Giurgiu you have a thread stretched to our Bulgarian neighbors.
